INSPIRING WOMEN IN BUSINESS Join us for the first Inspiring Women in Business breakfast in 2021. We welcome all supporters of diversity and empowering women in the workplace no matter what your gender. It is a great opportunity to meet and network with other peers and colleagues whilst enjoying a delicious breakfast and hearing from two expert guest speakers. PRESENTERSElla Dixon, CEO, Migrant Resource CentreElla is the CEO of not-for-profit organisation, Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) Northern Tas. Established in 1982, the MRC has a staff of 35 and volunteer base of 80 people. It is a settlement service provider, working primarily with people who arrived under Australia’s Humanitarian Program. Before joining the MRC, Ella spent 8 years as Regional Manager, Department of Premier and Cabinet, in the areas of community development and women’s policy area (known then as Women Tasmania). Her career has mostly been in management roles in economic and community development in and on the fringes of government. Ella is a director of a national peak body for refugees and sits on a number of working groups in an advisory capacity relating to resettlement, education, employment and skills development for former refugees and migrants. Additionally, Ella is a member of the RACT’s Northern Area Advisory Committee and the Tasmanian Health Services Consumer and Community Engagement Council. Bianca Welsh, Restaurateur and Mental Health Advocate Bianca Welsh is a passionate and driven restaurateur and mental health advocate. She is the co-owner of Stillwater Restaurant, Seven Rooms and Black Cow Bistro. She currently sits on several not-for-profit boards: Design Tasmania, Launceston Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Northern Tasmania. As mental health advocate Bianca has just begun her own mental health mentoring and education business, specifically for the tourism and hospitality industry. Ella Dixon, CEO, Migrant Resource Centre
