NSW: Andrew Rider, CTA, Level 22 Chambers
Andrew Rider, CTA, is a recognised Doyle’s Guide leading Australian tax barrister, specialising in land tax, payroll tax and stamp duty litigation and dispute resolution. Prior to coming to the Bar, Andrew was a solicitor and Associate to Justice Michael Kirby. Andrew lectures in taxation law at the University of Sydney Law School and previously lectured at the University of Technology, Sydney. Andrew edits the leading stamp duty publication Australian Stamp Duties Law and authors the national stamp duty section of the leading online service Practical Guidance – Property Law. Andrew is an examiner with The Tax Institute and a member of The Tax Institute/Office of State Revenue Liaison Committee and Dispute Resolution Technical Committee.

VIC: Zoe Chung, CTA and Gia Cari, Arnold Bloch Leibler
Zoe Chung, CTA, is a Special Counsel in Arnold Bloch Leibler’s taxation group. Zoe’s core expertise is in state taxation law across all Australian states and territories, providing all types of assistance from pre-transaction advice, lodgement, negotiation and dispute resolution.
Zoe has more than 18 years’ experience providing state taxation advisory, Revenue Authority liaison and M&A services to clients in a wide range of industries and clients, including private families, superannuation & funds management, property (development, leasing and retail), mining & infrastructure and retail & consumer.
Prior to re-joining ABL in 2018, Zoe was a Partner at “Big Four”, specialising in state taxation in all Australian jurisdictions with a focus on stamp duty.
Zoe has a keen interest in diversity and inclusion and social justice issues. She has undertaken pro bono work for a number of not-for-profit organisations and has also participated in formulating cultural and gender diversity agendas.

Gia Cari, is a partner in the firm’s property & development group. She provides a broad range of advice to private, corporate and institutional clients. Gia advises on acquisitions, disposals, developments, real estate finance and leasing transactions.
Gia is a strong property generalist and regularly acts for private and institutional investors in relation to various property types, including commercial, retail, industrial and mixed-use property and has specialist experience in advising on complex title issues and land subdivisions.
Gia is a 2019 participant in the Property Council of Australia's 500 Women in Property program, which identifies emerging female talent and provides networking and professional development opportunities throughout the year. She was also ranked by Doyle’s Guide Australia as a rising star in property and real estate.

QLD: Duncan Bedford, ATI and Melissa Simpson, McCullough Robertson
Duncan Bedford, ATI, is a Partner at McCullough Robertson Lawyers. He is a tax and commercial lawyer with a particular focus on state taxes. He also has significant experience in dealing with all aspects of foreign investment regulation in Australia. With a background in general commercial law and transaction implementation, Duncan brings a practical approach to the advice he provides clients across a range of industries.

Melissa Simpson, is a lawyer in McCullough Robertson's tax team. She has broad experience providing strategic advice to various clients on both direct and indirect taxes.

SA: Chris Annicchiarico, WRP Legal & Advisory

Chris Annicchiarico is a Senior Associate at WRP Legal & Advisory, who specialises in tax and commercial law. He is a member of the Tax Institute’s Emerging Leaders Program and is undertaking a Master’s degree in Taxation at the University of New South Wales. Chris advises clients ranging from, large corporations to SMEs and individuals, in all areas of taxation, stamp duty and revenue law as well as general commercial, corporate and trust law.

WA: George Papadakos, CTA, PwC
George Papadakos, CTA, is a Director in the PwC's Tax & Legal Group. George advises both large multinational organisations together with private groups on all facets of Australian stamp duty law and compliance and has considerable experience in advising clients in the energy and resources sector, property development, financial services, infrastructure projects, corporate restructures, takeovers and mergers, acquisitions and divestments.
