Nick Mellos, Grant Thornton

Nick is a Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy with over 25 years of experience. He is a Partner and Office Chair of Grant Thornton Melbourne. He is also one of the few insolvency practitioners in Australia to solely specialise in Personal Bankruptcy and Part X arrangements. He has extensive Personal Insolvency experience in all industries, but in particular has assisted many individuals in real estate & construction, retail, manufacturing and professional services. Nick will always use his best endeavours to reach a commercially viable outcome for all stakeholders and works closely with public accounting practitioners in assisting their client in financial distress.

Ahmed Bise, Grant Thornton

Ahmed has over 25 years’ of corporate recovery & reorganisation experience in various industries including, but not limited to, not for profit organisations, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, tourism, real estate and construction. Ahmed has been exposed to all facets of corporate insolvency. Ahmed’s experience includes a secondment to a major trading bank where he was exposed to problem loan management, restructuring and retention. Ahmed has also served a secondment to the Australian Securities & Investments Commission. This role involved site visits to both private and public companies and focussed on assessing solvency and compliance.
