This series of seminars is designed to engage young tax professionals to explore, in greater depth, six key areas that most tax practitioners will encounter in advising SME clients. Tax technical topics are supported by practical, yet challenging case-studies, to demonstrate the application of taxation law to the issues presented.
Authored and delivered by practising experts in each field, the process is intended to enable young practitioners in the world of tax-advisory, to gain a deeper understanding of the application of the law to a range of commercial transactions and to expand their current knowledge base.

Based upon the success of previous series, each seminar will take 90 minutes, split into:

  • Presentation of the technical framework in which the law operates; and
  • Case study – review and discussion in group format – designed to demonstrate the application of the law.

Both the presentation slides and case study will be forwarded to each participant prior to each session, to encourage preparation and participation, so as to maximise the value of the time spent.

Who should attend?

This course is specifically designed for those who are nearing or have recently completed post-graduate studies. For those who have previously attended the YTP series, this year's program introduces further depth to the selected topics. The content and format is tailored for those professionals who, after completing their studies, are seeking new channels to expand their knowledge and to engage with fellow professionals in a collegiate environment.
